JohnsonDiversey introduces ProSpeed, a new floor-finish applicator system that out performs traditional flat-mop and mop-and-bucket application methods. ProSpeed's unique ergonomic design and superior performance make it the right tool for building service contractors and cleaning professionals in retail, health-care and education facilities, who are looking for increased productivity and reduced resource use.
In trials with 150 users, ProSpeed proved to be more than twice as fast as traditional mop-and-bucket application when factoring in time for setup, application and cleanup. Users also netted 10 percent more coverage than flat-mop and 25 percent more coverage than mop-and-bucket methods.
"With little downtime available for floor finishing applications in high traffic areas, cleaning professionals need an efficient alternative to traditional floor finishing methods," said Bill Taylor, vice president and general manager for JohnsonDiversey in North America. "ProSpeed helps finish floors more thoroughly, cost effectively and with a lower environmental impact than other floor finishing systems."
The new ProSpeed system uses 85 percent less packaging than a standard five-liter floor finish bottle. ProSpeed also can save about one to two gallons of water for every gallon of floor finish used because no mixing is necessary.
Floor finish waste is reduced to zero because operators use only what they need from ProSpeed's closed-system pouches and can store the rest until the next use. The finish used in ProSpeed is not wasted in the head of a string mop or in leftover waste water in the bucket. The cost of floor finishing is reduced and accomplished in an environmentally preferable alternative to other floor finish methods.
To use ProSpeed, all a cleaning professional needs is the tool and a case of finish; everything needed to do the job is in the case. Each case includes disposable pads and enough floor finish to cover more than 8,000 square feet.
ProSpeed eliminates the need to mix finish concentrates in heavy water-filled buckets. Workers simply link a connector tube to the pouch holding the finish and insert the connected pouch on the applicator handle. Operators are then ready to finish a floor. Additionally, ProSpeed's ergonomic design and swivel head glide the applicator smoothly across the floor providing a consistent and smooth application even for inexperienced users.
